About us

Building Lagos,
one registered Builder at a time.

The Nigerian Institute of Building is the professional body for Builders in Nigeria, established in 1967 and given statutory backing by Decree 45 of 1989. The Lagos State Chapter is its first and largest chapter.

We register and grade Builders, run continuing professional development, uphold standards on site, and speak for the profession on building regulation and safety across Lagos State. Membership gives you a verifiable credential, a professional network and a voice.
